Description
Description

An attribute of a completed structure which has been made into a coherent whole by gathering or combining parts or elements. A distinction may be made between unified and unitary, the first implying that the whole is a product of the unifying or synthetic process applied to the originally separate parts, the second implying that the condition of being whole is primary although parts may be distinguished. The unifying process may also introduce a notion of production of uniformity.
