1. A system of thought which: (a) emphasizes process, development, and transformation; (b) is capable, at least potentially, of bringing all facts into relation with one another; and (c) recognizes a universal formative process in nature in which regular spatial forms are developed and transformed.

2. Any process which displays one general form of continuity may be called unitary.
