Unicity

Name
Unicity
Description
Description

The unique, non-mathematical, oneness of the absolute being, God. Mathematical unity cannot be predicated of God if it is argued that there is no matter or quantity attributable to him. Therefore the unicity of God is the infinity of his perfection, the being of his act, the act of his being. If, according to Christianity, he is one to himself, he nonetheless is 'experienced' as three in one by Christians and one in three, in that each Person of the Holy Trinity is itself, and does not share, the divine identity.
