Description
1. A property postulated of nature, that identical or equal causes in identical or equal circumstances produce identical or equal results.
2. A logic of causality and determinism that the physical laws are invariant.
3. The characteristic, so long as it holds true, that delimits a world or dimension in the space-time continuum. Partial non-uniformity in sub-atomic quanta may indicate another 'universe' of uniformity beginning somewhere at this level. Apparent non-uniformity exists at the other end of the scale in very large phenomena studied in astrophysics.
